Mother of 6, Student Midwife & Artist from Conception
Being able to be apart of empowerment, healing and unity of family and community through birth work is a great gift that provides me with a deep sense of purpose in life. This path is a calling and when one is able to be guided on the journey they are a conduit for the divine.
As I was finishing my BA in Anthropology in 2013 I found out about the maternal healthcare crisis in the US. I was horrified and shocked to hear about the injustice, malpractice and unethical treatment of patients in the hospital. From this disturbing information a passionate fire was lit to promote birthing justice.
During this time I completed a 300 hour Jivamukti (soul liberation) yoga teacher training, an 80 hour prenatal yoga teacher training (with a focus on Ayurveda), and a doula certification from The Matrona, with a focus on quantum birthing.
I am a homebirth midwives assistant and have been attending births all over the Bay Area since 2016. I authored and illustrated a children's book, 'My Activated Chakras'. Additionally, I curated the interactive gallery, 'Black Maternal Excellence' and was a guest speaker featured in the 2024 AMCHP Conference.
I am also a CoCo Doula Program Coordinator. To find out more about our free doula services for Black Mothers in Contra Costa county please click here.
I am always looking forward to meeting new clients, and I truly enjoy providing personalized care so clients are able to make their own well-informed decisions, from their own true place of power. Please get in touch to connect.
